Mama always said not to play with your food. But there are gloves and a written invitation by artist Shannon Hiramoto to interact with her Lunch Break 1 and 2 that are on exhibit with the Kauai Society of Artists Small Works Big Show (“Christmas is Here” is a stained glass lamp message from artist Yana Shane) that is open daily at the KSA gallery at the Kukui Grove Center.
The Sheraton Kauai Resort in Poipu (congratulations, Katie Brenner on being the Chip Bahouth successor!) said Christmas comes next week.
Holo Holo Charters had its own version of the KSA Washed Up marine debris art from the monthly cleanups Team Holo Holo (Cindy Kauanui said the sunglasses — it’s even the right shade of blue, Cyndi Ayonon! — float) does to malama the aina that is their bread and butter. OK, time to go check out the University of Hawaii Beach Volleyball team which is participating in the Kauai Invitational fall campaign starting today with Cal Poly and UCLA at Kalapaki Beach, and the Kaiser High School boys soccer who will be involved with preseason soccer.
And don’t forget Kauai High School football who will square off against Kaiser High School on Saturday during the semifinals of the state’s Division II playoffs at Vidinha Stadium.
