Malachai Waechter was more interested in the Florence Tavares cookies (no new flavors, this time) on Sunday during the monthly The Beach House craft fair (the next one is on Dec. 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) where the wind was blowing at a good clip (The Salty Wahine Gourmet Hawaiian Salt crew anchored their tent to a coconut tree to keep everything stable).

Kudos to Ruke permanent jewelry (at least it wasn’t raining on Sunday) for landing a brick-and-mortar site in Hanapepe at the Popo’s Cookies (they have samples during the Hanapepe Friday Art Night) courtyard (live music, too!).
Risa Marshall said Life’s Bridges just secured their permit for a craft fair at the Poipu Beach Park on Dec. 8 (that’s the same weekend as the Lights on Rice holiday parade — how many years has it been happening? — and the Kauai Museum Christmas Craft Fair!). Risa said the Poipu event is the first craft fair at the location since COVID-19 and will benefit Life’s Bridges program when it runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with live music.
If you haven’t stopped in yet, this is a great time to visit the Kauai Society of Artists “Small Works Big Show” which on Nov. 16 and will be available for viewing and sales (Small Works make great holiday gifts) through Jan. 3, 2025.
