KIFB hosts food distribution on Wednesday
NAWILIWILI — Island School students representing the school’s Student Council in grades K through 5 visited the Kauai Independent Food Bank facility on Tuesday as an educational field trip for the Student Council’s food drive campaign that ends on Friday morning.

Malachai Waechter was more interested in the Florence Tavares cookies (no new flavors, this time) on Sunday during the monthly The Beach House craft fair (the next one is on Dec. 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) where the wind was blowing at a good clip (The Salty Wahine Gourmet Hawaiian Salt crew anchored their tent to a coconut tree to keep everything stable).
