LIHUE — The Hawaii Children’s Theatre, or HCT, announced the production of “The SpongeBob Musical,” which opens on Sunday and runs through Nov. 30 at Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall.
“This year’s performance schedule includes some exciting changes,” said Allegra Gaines, the HCT executive director. “Our opening show on Sunday is a special matinees performance that doubles as our annual Food Bank Benefit Show.”
The Nov. 17 performance, which starts at 3 p.m. at the convention hall, offers discounted tickets for just $8 each with a donation of nonperishable food or cash to support the Kauai food banks.
“HCT’s commitment to the community continues with this yearly tradition,” said Gaines in the announcement. “The special pricing allows theatergoers to enjoy a spectacular show while giving back to those in need.”
Gaines said the production of “The SpongeBob Musical,” an all-singing, all-dancing and dynamic stage show, promises to be an unforgettable experience for audiences of all ages.
