Milton K. Chung
Milton K. Chung, of Koloa, passed away on Oct. 4, 2024, at the age of 82. He was born in Honolulu on April 21, 1942. He was a retired Fire Captain for Hanapepe Fire Department.
Preceded in death by father Martin Chung and mother Mariah Ah Yat Artis.
He is survived by sisters Charlene Chung, Raynette Lee, daughters Rovina “Kawailani” (Bruce) Newport-Kiluauano, Sissy Kahale, Andrea Ota, Yvette (Keoki Manintin) Chung, son Mervin Chung, ten grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, at Poipu Beach Park, Main Pavilion starting at 10 a.m. Scattering of ashes on a later date-privately.
Ballard Family Mortuary in Moanalua, Oahu assisted the family with arrangements.
Stanley Agoot
Stanley Agoot passed away on Oct. 17, 2024, at Wilcox Medical Center at the age of 76. He was born on Aug. 15, 1948, in Lihue. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1966 to 1970. He retired on Sept. 30, 2014, as a Chief Communications Controller at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, California. Over his 45-year career, he supported various NASA space programs at the Kokee NASA Tracking Station, the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, and NASA’s Deep Space Network at JPL.
He was preceded in death by his son Sean S. Agoot, parents Isidro Obania Agoot and Teofista Agoot, sister Marilyn Adams, brother Isidro Agoot Jr. and in-laws Leon and Frances Gadingan.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jeannie Agoot, children Kimberlyn (Keith) Howell of Happy Valley, Oregon, Kylene (Timothy Jr.) Albao of Kalaheo, grandchildren Ryan Agoot of Coronado Island, San Diego, Chloe Howell, Kainoa Howell, Christiana Howell of Happy Valley, Oregon, Kaiea Albao, Kiowa Albao of Kalaheo, brother Rudy (Cathy) Agoot of Wailua, sister Carol (Sal) Maneja of Wailua, in-laws Lenny (Faith) Gadingan of Lawai, Sonny (Emily) Gadingan of Koloa, Leona Tomita of Honolulu, many fun-loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends throughout the United States.
A service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, at the St. Raphael Catholic Church in Koloa, with visitation from 9 to 10:15 a.m. and Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Raphael Cemetery. The family requests casual attire.
Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
Peter Michael Alisna Sr.
Peter Michael Alisna Sr., 62, of Lihue, Kauai, born Sept. 16, 1962, and went to heaven on Oct. 4, 2024. Peter was born in Kealia, Kauai, and graduated from Kapaa High School, Class of 1980. He retired from the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation, Airports Division. He also served in the Army National Guard from 1983 to 1990.
Predeceased by mother Lourdes (Maglinti) Alisna, brothers Wayne Alisna and Dominic “Mickey” Alisna.
Remaining to cherish Peter’s memory is his wife Lorna Tatemichi-Alisna, children Brandon (Tressann) Tatemichi, Ronessa Alisna, Peter (Stephanie Oligo) Alisna Jr., Taryn Alisna, grandchildren Kameryn Alisna, Arianna Alisna, Koamalu Tatemichi, Kauanoe Tatemichi, father Domingo Alisna Sr., brothers Perry Alisna (Kathy), Anthony Alisna, James Alisna (Leanne Yadao-Alisna) and sister Donna Ragsac (Primo Ragsac Jr.) Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Nov. 16, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Church. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with Mass to follow at 10 a.m. Burial will take place at a later date on Oahu at Mililani Memorial Park.
