LIHUE — Islandwide residents and their keiki are invited to attend and celebrate the grand opening of the Kauai Police Activities League’s (K-PAL) new facility.
K-PAL is having a grand opening for its new facilities on Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Philippine Cultural Center located at 4475-f Nuhou St. in Lihue.
The event, which will begin at 5 p.m. and conclude at 8 p.m., will feature a blessing. Attendees will have a chance to tour the newly renovated facility, and families will also get an opportunity to meet K-PAL’s coaches and its volunteers, who will assist by exploring a variety of programs designed to empower the children.
Any child looking to become part of a sports team, looking to add a hobby or seeking a mentor is encouraged to attend. K-PAL reminds the public that it is devoted to Kauai’s youths and is excited to expand and keep providing programs, such as sports mentorship, and educational initiatives.
Last year, more than 1,100 youths participated in K-PAL’s flag football, boxing, jiu-jitsu and wrestling, among other programs. It is committed to providing an atmosphere that motivates youths to lead a drug-free life so that they can reach their full potential.
