Nia was escorted by her dad, Alden Pablo (watch for announcements of the BIG carnival presented by the Hanapepe Colts Pop Warner Association … it’s supposed to have a football bowl game featuring a Big Island team in addition to the T-ball tournament, the sold-out field of vendors, and of course, the Fun and Kwazy rides, according to Alden, who was heading the fundraising flying saucers at the Kekaha Harvest Festival during the halftime sprinkles at the Saturday games in Hanapepe.

Mrs. Claus said Wednesday from the Netflix series is actually a real mermaid (her tail was still wet from spending the day in the ocean during the mermaid’s last appearance at Kukui Grove Center). The mermaid (she tells her preschool kids that there’s magic dust that turns her tail into regular human legs during the day) was disguised as a Disney character that wowed the Kauai High School volunteers during Saturday night’s Movie Night.
Melissa McFerrin Warrack (she’s back from the Island School Europe Tour!) said Kauai High School will have its Homecoming Dance on the same night as the big Halloween preview on Friday where the Trunk-Or-Treat will fill the parking lot just south of Long’s CVS just ahead of Saturday’s big Trick-Or-Treat event (hopefully, you’re already registered).
Pilare Mukai of The Shops at Kukuiula said Harvey Maeda of The Kauai Classic Cars will be doing The Shops’ annual Trick or Treating on Friday from 5 p.m.; and are there going to be trick or treating on Saturday when the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, Kauai Region does its Fall Festival (last of this year’s free Harvest Festival pumpkins will be passed out!) on the Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital campus?
