LIHUE — A light list of road-related projects are scheduled through the rest of the week with work ranging from grass trimming and guardrail repairs to slope stabilization and landscape maintenance, the Hawaii Department of Transportation said in a weekly update.
The following is a schedule of projects for the workweek ending Oct. 18. All work is weather related.
Eleele
A right lane closure on Halewili Road (Route 540) is possible in either direction for guardrail repairs between mile post 1 to 2.5, on Wednesday, Oct. 16, through Friday, Oct. 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Hanapepe
A shoulder closure and lane shift on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for grass trimming, between mile post 17 to 22, in the vicinity of Lele Road and Russian Fort Elizabeth State Park through Friday, Oct. 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Kilauea
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for grass trimming along guardrails, between mile post 18 to 21.5, in the vicinity of Wailapa Road, through Friday, Oct. 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Koloa
A right lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for grass trimming, between mile post 4.5 to 8.5, through Friday, Oct. 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Lihue
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for sign installations and striping, between mile post 0.78 to 2.5, in the vicinity of Kuene Road and Kapule Highway, through Friday, Oct. 18, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in the southbound direction for grass and tree trimming, between mile post 2 to 3.2, in the vicinity of Kauai Beach Drive, through Friday, Oct. 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Princeville
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) is possible in either direction for slope stabilization and landscape maintenance, in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, through Friday, Oct. 18, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
