LIHUE — Kauai High School boys and girls took the Kauai Interscholastic Federation Bowling, Week 4 bowling results that was rolled at Kauai Bowl on Thursday.
Led by the high game of 159 rolled by Yasmien Panoy, the Red Raider ladies beat out Waimea High School, 1,862 pinfall over three games to 1,550 pinfall by the Menehune.
On the boys lanes, Kauai boys topped the three-school field with a 2,518 pinfall over Kapaa with 2,486 and Waimea at 2,268.
“The Kauai High girls has clinched the back-to-back KIF title, on Thursday,” said Kauai High School coach Kyrin Sasaki. “The Kauai boys are up by two weeks. The Kauai boys need one more win, or a tie by any two teams, or the Waimea boys win one of the remaining two matches. If that happens, the Kauai boys will be KIF champs for the fourth consecutive season. Kapaa still has a chance to force a sudden death roll off if they win the last two matches.”
The bowlers are enjoying the fall break.
“There is no match held during fall break,” Sasaki said. “The last two matches will be held on Oct. 17 and Oct. 24.”
