POIPU — The Shops at Kukuiula, in partnership with other Hawaii organizations and in celebration of this year’s Harvest Festival, announced they will be hosting the annual Great Pumpkin Giveaway, as well as fun, family-friendly events throughout October.
POIPU — The Shops at Kukuiula, in partnership with other Hawaii organizations and in celebration of this year’s Harvest Festival, announced they will be hosting the annual Great Pumpkin Giveaway, as well as fun, family-friendly events throughout October.
“We are excited to celebrate Halloween all month long at The Shops at Kukuiula,” said Mike Hubbard, senior property manager. “We are grateful to our amazing partners for helping us bring these fun and festive events to our island community.”
The Shops at Kukuiula, said through an Alexander and Baldwin Hawaii announcement, will be giving away Kauai-grown pumpkins on Oct. 18 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. or while supplies last. The pumpkins are grown by Aloun Farms in Kaumakani.
There is a limit of one pumpkin per person. There is no reservation required. Pumpkins are given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
Following the Great Pumpkin Giveaway, The Shops invite the public for a family movie night under the stars at the Palm Court area. A free screening of “Despicable Me 4” will air from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with complimentary snacks and refreshments. The movie will start at sunset, weather permitting, and refreshments will be available while supplies last.
On Oct. 25, The Shops invite the community to show off their favorite costume and trick-or-treat with the family at The Shops Cruise and Show event, presented in partnership with the Kauai Classic Cars Club from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, visit TheShopsatKukuiula.com.
The 11th annual Harvest Festival will be held in Kekaha on Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and feature free admission, entertainment, rides and slides, and lots of pumpkins!
Presented by the Hawaii Crop Improvement Association, the Harvest Festival serves as a launch point for other pumpkin giveaways featuring the Kauai-grown orbs. Look for notices of giveaways for Grove Farm Market, Pau Hana Market, the Wilcox Health Keiki Parade for keiki 4 years old and younger, and more.
