Dozens of volunteers participated in the International Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, Sept. 21, on the island of Kauai. The volunteers removed two-plus truck loads and one trailer of nets, plastic, car parts and trash off the coastline from Nukolii south to Marine Camp.
All told, approximately 1,484 pounds of debris and trash was sorted, weighed and removed, Kauai Surfrider said.
