A West of the Rest press release describes “November” as a witty and razor-sharp comedy set in the Oval Office and follows one chaotic day in the life of a desperate president (portrayed by West of the Rest Artistic Director Dennis McGraw) as he scrambles to secure reelection.
“In a time when we are divided, we love to laugh about politics,” said “November” director Michele Rundgren. “This may bring more levity and sanity. The Kukui Grove venue will be set up as the Oval Office, and the audience will all be in the Oval Office.”
David Mamet is a Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright known for his sharp wit, compelling characters and incisive dialogue. His works often explore political and social themes with humor and depth.
Rundgren brings her unique vision and comedic expertise to this production, says the West of the Rest. She delivers an experience that is sure to leave audiences laughing long after the final curtain.
