WAILUA — Na Kupuna O Kauai Legacy of Aloha, or website Okauailoa.com, will present its first Walk &Roll Walkathon on Oct. 26 at Lydgate Park Main Pavilion.
WAILUA — Na Kupuna O Kauai Legacy of Aloha, or website Okauailoa.com, will present its first Walk &Roll Walkathon on Oct. 26 at Lydgate Park Main Pavilion.
Registration opens at 8 a.m. with a $5 entry fee for the walkathon and the surrounding event.
The walk starts at 9 a.m. and festivities continue until 2 p.m.
Event T-shirts or tank tops for the inaugural walk can be added on to the entry fee for a $25 donation. Sizes from small through large are available. Sizes XL through 3XXL are available for an additional $2.
Na Kupuna O Kauai Legacy of Aloha organizers invite kupuna, families and visitors to come together to share support for kupuna and their aloha during this daylong event that will feature food, music, entertainment, craft vendors and more.
According to the Okauai.com website, Na Kupuna O Kauai Legacy of Aloha’s goal is to empower and perpetuate the legacy lives of na kupuna in view of the richness of the racial diversity of the island’s community.
During the Walk &Roll event, Na Kupuna O Kauai Legacy of Aloha will be able to honor those of the many cultures on Kauai and the state.
By instilling a strong foundation based on generational knowledge and a sense of the sharing of wisdom passed down through the ages, Na Kupuna O Kauai Legacy of Aloha will encourage and nurture self-love, self-worth and healing on physical and emotional wealth.
