Happy birthday to artist Carol Wyban who celebrated her special day on the same day she presented her art collection to the Kikuchi Center, located in the Learning Resource Center (did you see the AI display?)

Kudos to Jonell Kaohelaulii and all those Department of Water, water industry leaders and community partners on another successful Make A Splash water education event!
This year’s event had the largest attendance and participation with 787 students (even more than 2017 when the attendance got close to that mark). And this is not including any of the charter schools and home schools that did not respond to the Department of Water inquiries.
And, a late breaking tip (mahalo Kukui Grove for that TGI flag ad), K+M Kauai (they were busy at the Line Dancing fundraiser for the Kauai Veterans Center, last week) will be celebrating its first anniversary at the Kukui Grove Center (they’re on the corner across from Ainofea) with the K+M Market and other craft vendors spread out around the Kukui Grove Center.
Life is coming back to the former space occupied by the Macy’s men’s department when West of The Rest Performing Arts presents the Kukui Grove site presentation of David Mamet’s “November” on Oct. 3, 4 and 5 starting at 7 p.m.
Directed by Michele Rundgren, the PG-17 rated program will not have alcohol at the Kukui Grove presentation. Alcohol will be permitted when “November” moves to Common Ground in Kilauea on Oct. 11, 12 and 13.
And then, what’s next for that space?
