A volunteer offers samples of the Kipu ulu chips created by Kauai HS FFA student Madden Labrador-Hardesty who gets help from Christina Martiney in setting up the merchandise marketing on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024 during The Grove Farm Market at the Puhi park open field.

Mango jam, Mango jelly, Guava jelly using guava from Jack Gushiken’s guava starters, and two different types of ulu chips. Kauai High School Future Farmers of America member Madden Labrador-Hardesty had it all on Saturday when the Kauai High School FFA appeared at the Grove Farm Market (the craft fair component takes place on the first Saturday in October!) as a fundraiser. Christina Martiney, the FFA advisor, said the group is still attempting to raise funds to send the school’s FFA to the national convention on the mainland.
