More than 150 guests of the Planning Department gather for the 100th anniversary of the Hanapepe Massacre on Monday, Sept. 9, 2024 at the site the county, through the Planning Department and the Public Access, Open Space, Natural Resources Preservation Commission, intends to acquire for its historical and cultural significance.

HANAPEPE — More than 150 invited only guests gathered on Monday to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Hanapepe Massacre at a site near the ambush, hosted by the county’s Planning Department.
