WAIMEA — Kauai High School air riflery teams swept the first Kauai Interscholastic Federation match on Saturday when the Red Raiders visited the Waimea High School range.
Just six points separated Kauai High School girls from the Menehune sharpshooters as the Red Raider wahine chalked up 1,237 team points to Waimea’s 1,231 points.
On the boys’ range, two Red Raider marksmen, Jacob Andres and Andrew Sadamitsu, tied for high point honors at 259 points each, to lead the Kauai team with 1,242 points to Waimea’s 1,185 points.
Kauai High School next hosts Island School on Saturday at their home range starting at 10 a.m. while Waimea High School teams travel to the Kapaa High School range. That matchup starts at 10 a.m.
