Cole Akio Forsen
Beloved son, Cole Akio Forsen, age 42, of Wailua, Kauai, passed away in Portland, Oregon, on July 30, 2024. Born on Aug. 1, 1981, in Lihue, Kauai.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Takashi and Fusae Fujimoto, Carl and Hazel Forsen.
Survived by mother Denise, daughter Rian, brothers Cale (Lauren, Gaia-Grace, Bailey), Kai (Ehukai), Darin (Christine, Kai, Ava), uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews, hanai uncle Doug of Portland, hanai Kaluahine ‘ohana of Anahola who brought him joy.
A service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, at Lihue Hongwanji Mission in Kapaia. Visitation at 9 a.m., service at 10 a.m.
Stanley Rogers Gonsalves
Stanley Rogers Gonsalves, of Lihue, passed away on Sept. 4, 2024, at the age of 84. He was born in Lihue, Hawaii, on Aug. 17, 1940, and worked as a truck driver and laborer for the Hawaii State Department of Transportation.
He was preceded in passing by his parents Domingo and Katherine Ortiz.
Stanley is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Margaret Gonsalves, son Randy (Connie) Gonsalves, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held at Immaculate Conception Church on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024, with visitation from 8 to 9:30 a.m., a funeral Mass at 10 a.m., and burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
