KALIHIWAI — A Tennessee man was identified as the person found unresponsive on the North Shore of Kauai on Wednesday, Aug. 21.
The Kauai Police Department (KPD) identified the man as Jesse W. Eidson, 43, of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
On Aug. 21 at approximately 1 p.m., it was reported that medics responded to an emergency 911 call for a man who was unresponsive at Kalihiwai Beach.
Eidson was immediately transported to the Wilcox Medical Center in Lihue, where he was then air lifted to Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu. He died on Thursday, Aug. 22.
Based on the report from the autopsy and witness statements, no foul play is suspected. Law enforcement thanked the community for coming forward with information regarding this case.
