John A. Senda
John A. Senda, 97, of Wailua Homesteads, passed away on Aug. 19, 2024, at Kaua‘i Care Center. He was born in Kaua‘i, Hawai‘i, on May 6, 1927. He retired as a clerk from County of Kaua‘i.
He was preceded in passing by his companion Odetta L.K. Miner, parents William J. and Kayo Senda, siblings Eiko Muranaka, Kazuo Senda, Akiko Senda, Flora Senda and George Senda.
John is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Corazon Ubi Coma
Corazon Ubi Coma, of Lihu‘e, passed away on Aug. 12, 2024, at the Garden Isle Rehab & Nursing at the age of 96. She was born on Nov. 25, 1927, in the Philippines. She was a cook.
She was preceded in death by husband Victorino Coma, son Romie Coma, daughter Josie Coma, parents Fructoso and Genoveva Ubi, sisters Esmenia Alcantara, Tomasita Amistad, Lolita Real, Monica Abalos, Melchora Ubi and Leonida Bagay.
She is survived by sons Nolie Coma of Lihue, Melari (Carol) Coma of Lihue, Teymie (Grace) Coma of Lihue, Bengie (Agnes) Coma of Eleele, daughters Leilanie (Edgar) Valenciano of Lihue, Emie (Larry) Tanimoto of Lihue, Betie (Damien Tolentino) Coma of Kapolei, 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, sisters Florcefida Bul Lalayao of California, Adoracion Ragadi of the Philippines and Medelina Espinosa of the Philippines.
A service will be held on Monday, Aug. 26, 2024, at the Garden Island Mortuary in Lawa‘i. Visitation is from 9 to 10:45 a.m., a celebration of life at 11 a.m., and burial will follow at Kalapaki Bay Memorial Park Cemetery in Lihu‘e. The family requests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Arnold Wai Fong Leong
Arnold Wai Fong Leong, of West Kaua‘i, passed away peacefully in his Hanapepe home on June 22, 2024, at 78 years old.
He is survived by his loving sons Corbin (Claudia) and Quintin (Leimomi), his 6 grandchildren Lillianna, Corbin Jr., Lena, Palila, ‘Aukai, and new baby, his great-grandchild, Lanakila and his faithful dog, Mahea.
His ‘ohana will be celebrating his life on Oct. 5, at St. John Episcopal Church in ‘Ele‘ele. Visitation from 9 to 10 a.m., service from 10 to 11 a.m.
