ANAHOLA — Sponsored by Security National Mortgage, Kauai County Councilwoman Felicia Cowden, Old Republic Title Co. and Da Funk Band, everyone is welcome to the 5th annual Food Drive and Free Music Festival that will take place at the Anahola Marketplace on Aug. 24.
Mike Vallee of Da Funk Band said events will start at 3 p.m. when DHB takes the stage with rock and oldies.
Attendees to the food drive can simply bring their nonperishable food item contributions or make a monetary donation to benefit the Kaua‘i Independent Food Bank.
Tropical Grove takes the stage at 4 p.m. with Hawaiian music and even some hula lessons.
Cosa Bossa, a latin dance band, hits the stage at 5:15 p.m. and plays until Vic and the Victims brings Blues and Rock oldies to the lights at 6:30 p.m.
Da Funk! closes the night with old school funk and disco dance music from 8 p.m.
“Mahalo nui loa for helping the Kaua‘i Independent Food Bank change the face of hunger on Kaua‘i,” Vallee said.
