The Department of Public Works (DPW) along with the hired contractor, Maui Kupono Builders, have rescheduled portions of Oka Street, from Kilauea Road to Oka Street cul-de-sac, for closure in order to do road resurfacing work.
The closure has now been rescheduled for Monday Aug. 19 to Friday, Aug. 23, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
DPW is urging the public to schedule enough time to get to a destination. Residents are reminded to use alternate routes to ease traffic congestion.
