HANAPEPE — As the year heads into its final months, Eric Nordmeier of the West Kaua‘i Lions Club announced the Salvation Army, Hanapepe Corps is in need of community help in administering the multiple programs for this year.
HANAPEPE — As the year heads into its final months, Eric Nordmeier of the West Kaua‘i Lions Club announced the Salvation Army, Hanapepe Corps is in need of community help in administering the multiple programs for this year.
Some of those programs include the annual Community Thanksgiving Luncheon and the holiday programs, which include Angel Tree, Red Kettle and Toys for Tots.
The Salvation Army Lt. Andrieli Gonzalez will be outlining some of the many programs, and which ones need the help of the community to succeed during the West Kaua‘i Lions Club general membership meeting on Aug. 21 at Wong’s Chinese Restaurant in Hanapepe. The meeting starts at 6 p.m.
Individuals and community groups wishing to contribute toward the success of the Salvation Army programs are invited to join the Lions at the meeting to find out how everyone can assist the Salvation Army, Hanapepe Corps.
Lt. Jose and Lt. Andrieli Gonzalez are the Corps officers for the Hanapepe Corps who serve thousands in need across the communities with meals, housing assistance, clothes, supplies, substance abuse treatment services, youth programs and holiday gifts.
The Hanapepe Corps provide character building programs, Christian education, community recreation programs, music and arts programs, women and men ministries, and worship services.
