Election day falls on Aug. 10. Voters should have received their ballots through the United States Postal Service. Ballots were mailed out after July 23.
For any voters who did not receive their ballot by July 28, they should contact the Office of the County Clerk, Elections Division at 808-241-4800 or email elections@kauai.gov.
Following the instructions printed on the envelope, voters simply complete the vote and return the sealed envelope to the post office before Aug. 10 at 7 p.m. The signed and completed ballot must be received — not postmarked — by Aug. 10 at 7 p.m. To ensure timely receipt of sealed ballots, the Elections Division encourages voters to deposit their ballots in the ballot drop boxes after Aug. 5.
A layer of convenience was added to the election process with the installation of ballot drop boxes at various locations around the island, including Hanalei Neighborhood Center, Hanapepe Neighborhood Center, Kalaheo Neighborhood Center, Kapa‘a Public Library, Aloha Petroleum Menehune Food Mart in Kilauea, Koloa Neighborhood Center, the Elections Division office, including the Voter Service Center, adjacent to the historic County Building, Church of the Pacific in Princeville and Waimea Neighborhood Center.
A ballot drop box is also inside the Voter Service Center. The Voter Service Center offers the ultimate in voter convenience, allowing voters to deposit their completed ballot in-person or in-person voting. The center’s staff can also answer any questions voters may have.
The center will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday until Friday, Aug. 9. On election Day, the Voter Service Center will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
