Clarina P. Madamba

On Jan. 30, 2024, Clarina Madamba, known as “Rina” to most, passed away peacefully in Jacksonville, Florida, at the age of 83. After moving from Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, in April 1978, she lived in Kaua‘i for 40 years where she worked at Coco Palms Hotel and Hilton Hotel until retirement. She later relocated to Jacksonville in March 2018 with Romeo and Rosemarie, 2 of her children, and her son-in-law, Rodrigo.
Rina was very loving, kind, and thoughtful to all her family and friends. She indeed left an indelible mark on our lives. We have all felt sadness and grief for her passing, but now it is time to remember the remarkable life she lived.
She was preceded in death by parents Toribio and Rosalina Pascua, husband Alfonso Madamba, and sibling Leonardo Pascua.
She is survived by children Romeo Pasion, Rosemarie (Rodrigo) Navea, Marienel (Mark) Randolph, Eric Tiu, grandchildren Heather Navea, Tracey and Edwin Cruz, Kanalu and Linsey Hawelu, Tyson Hawelu, Hiilani Hawelu, Tannor Pasion, great-grandchildren Marissa Celicious, Alexis Ruelo, Morgan Islas, Nathan Cruz, Keale Hawelu, Landon Hawelu, Legend Hawelu, Lion Hawelu, Grace Hawelu, Dakota Pasion, great-great-grandchild Ezekiel Hawelu, siblings Enriqueta Tiu, Eglorina (Nita) Beltran, Jadelyn Rosa, and Victor Pascua.
