KOKE‘E — The Koke‘e Fire, which has burned approximately 1,300 acres, was estimated to be 85 percent contained as of Saturday evening.
Multiple units demobilized on Saturday evening. A fire watch was in place overnight with ground crews from the Kaua‘i Fire Department and state Department of Land and Natural Resources continuing with final efforts and attending to hotspots on Sunday.
Hawai‘i Army National Guard personnel are also on scene. Waimea Canyon Drive remains closed.
No injuries have been reported. No structures are currently threatened.

KOKE‘E — The Koke‘e Fire, which has burned approximately 1,300 acres, was estimated to be 70 percent contained as of late Saturday afternoon.
Air assets were suspended at nightfall, but ground crews were expected to continue to battle the blaze overnight, the Kaua‘i Fire Department said in an incident update on Saturday.
Waimea Canyon Drive remains closed in both directions, but Koke‘e Road was expected to reopen to two-way traffic on Saturday evening.
The Koke‘e circuit was also re-energized on Saturday morning, the Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative said.
