LIHU‘E — Jehovah’s Witnesses announced its 2024 “Declare the Good News” convention series this weekend with a free, three-day live event at Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall.
One of the largest convention organizations in the world, Jehovah’s Witnesses returns to Lihu‘e with a motivational program to comfort and encourage the public. Organizers are expected to draw more than 700 attendees to Lihu‘e, fueling the town’s economy with local spending at stores and restaurants.
“We are excited to be once again at the Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall,” said Philip Nikolich, a local spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses. “These conventions are a highlight of the year for hundreds of people who want to experience some positivity in their lives, and we are happy to enjoy the program once again in this welcoming and hospitable venue.”
Everyone in the community is invited to attend and participate when the convention opens on Friday from 9:20 a.m. to 4:55 p.m., Saturday from 9:20 a.m. to 4:320 p.m. and Sunday from 9:40 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.
Each day includes Bible-based talks, interview, video presentations and a lunch break of at least an hour and 20 minutes.
Some of the topics include “Everlasting Good News” – In What Sense? Use the Good News to Defeat Bad News, and Why We don’t Fear Bad News.
Last year, nearly 13 million people attended more than 6,000 three-day conventions held throughout the world.
