PO‘IPU — Kaikeha will present the Sixth annual Garden Island Boogie Board Classic at Prince Kuhio Beach starting Friday at 7 a.m.
The awards ceremony will take place following the last heat on Sunday at Prince Kuhio Park.
Lunches on Friday and Saturday will be provided by sponsors for the surf event competitors, volunteers and sponsors, who are in attendance.
Food on Sunday will be provided during the awards ceremony at Prince Kuhio Park.
Those sponsors include Menehune Water, Wai Koko Coconut Water and Kaua‘i Juice Co. under the Comfort station tent. Organizers ask people to bring a water bottle because no cups will be provided.
Kaikeha invites everyone to visit Prince Kuhio Beach to enjoy the boogie board classic. They also ask people to drive slowly through the contest area.
Friday action starts at 7 a.m. with the opening heats of the Open Men competition, the Drop Knee Pro division quarterfinals and semifinals,and the opening heats for the Open Pro division.
