Councilman Billy DeCosta was thrilled to attend the graduation because he knew the graduate from when Paris Tangelder was in the fourth grade at the Kilauea Elementary School … congratulations to Anthony Tangelder, who was a soccer official for the longest time … Paris said she’s the soccer queen.
Lois Andersson missed the ceremony because she was picking up daughter Astrid at the airport. But they made it in time to congratulate Alexie Lane-Schwarze (no “T,” said Maureen), who was one of the sailing instructors for Kaua‘i Sailing Association.
Tricia Yamashita of Kaua‘i Hospice said Bo Domingcil and the volunteers will be at the Vidinha Stadium soccer fields starting today to get ready for Thursday’s 32nd Concert in the Sky … Isaiah Dosono said Kaua‘i Kim Chee will be one of the food vendors at the afternoon and evening where tickets are available online at www.kauaihospice.com.
And more fireworks go off on Wednesday when the Pacific Missile Range Facility Morale, Wellness and Recreation Committee hosts the Freedom Fest with American Idol winner Iam Tongi, Waylon Nihipali and Morgan Gruber, Kaua‘i Kollab starting at 6 p.m.
Once the smoke clears, there’s the Aloha Friday Night Art Nights every Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Kress Street by Ha Coffee and the Rice Street Business Association.
