PO‘IPU — The Grand Hyatt Kaua‘i Resort and Spa ‘ohana celebrated its announcement of the Anara Spa being named a 2023 Team of the Year award among spas in the Hyatt Corporation with a celebratory get-together on June 11.
The Anara Spa was selected for achieving incredible outcomes while demonstrating care, creativity and agility.
According to a press release from the Grand Hyatt Kaua‘i, the year saw the addition of a cold plunge and a wall removal in the fitness center to make the facility feel more open. New service and product lines were launched along with a new guest special occasion program.
The CocoMango line of bath products expanded to include home fragrance and several new treatments were introduced.
“We are pleased to debut new spa services designed to help our guests fully relax and immerse themselves in the tropical tranquility of our location,” said Kristi Dickinson, the spa director in a release.
“When guests visit Anara Spa, they are greeted by state-of-the-art facilities set in a lush garden setting. The new services blend traditional healing elements with modern technology for a rejuvenating experience focused on the peace and calmness paired with results.”
The new “Day of Bliss” service features a full day of self-care inspired by the healing traditions of the Polynesian islands. The experience starts with a Mana Lomi Massage providing deep therapeutic and gently relaxing care, followed by the Hawaiian Ali‘i facial.
The facial begins with the application of a customized mask covered with therapeutic Hawaiian ti leaves and steamed with an aromatic compress. It concludes with a gentle, warm stone massage on the neck and shoulders, a scalp massage, a coconut lip treatment, and pineapple papaya foot polish.
The spa also introduces the “Day of Beauty” experience where guests will start their day with the Hawaiian Ali‘i facial, followed by the Tropical Luxury manicure and pedicure.
The mani/ped combination allows guests to select an aromatic journey with botanical blends of guava, noni or starfruit. Guests are also provided a complimentary tropical mimosa to enjoy during their treatment.
Both the “Day of Bliss” and “Day of Beauty” treatments include a complimentary lunch prepared by the resort’s culinary team, as well as a special take-home gift.
In addition to the new day experiences, Anara Spa debuts new services utilizing the state-of-the-art Triawave system.
During the new Synergistic Triawave Advanced Cosmetic Technology service, each guest undergoes an extensive consultation with an esthetician to determine a customized plan.
The treatment starts with the application of tropical nutrients and serums followed by the use of Triawave system, which delivers galvanic, ultrasound and microcurrent waves to increase the penetration of the products for maximum and immediate results.
Guests can also opt for the Lift &Tone facial, which uses Triawave technology to stimulate facial muscles and help reduce the signs of wrinkles, improve the tone of skin, and boost collagen.
Before and after their treatment, guests can enjoy the spa’s amenities, including multiple relaxation areas, an outdoor 25-yard lap pool and cold plunge, open-air lava rock showers, a eucalyptus steam room, sauna, whirlpools and state-of-the-art fitness facility.
Additionally, guests can opt to enjoy their treatment in an open-air treatment room, or a private garden hale surrounded by lush gardens, cascading waterfalls, and the natural ambiance of local birds, fresh island air and the gentle coastal breeze. Each hale features an adjoining private rock lava outdoor shower for a further nature-infused immersion.
