LIHU‘E — A number of lane closures are in store next week with the most work scheduled in Lihu‘e, the Hawai‘i Department of Transportation said in a weekly update on Friday.
The following is a list of projects set for the workweek ending June 21. All work is weather permitting.
‘Ele‘ele
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for guardrail repair, between mile post 13 and 14.4, on Monday, June 17, and Tuesday, June 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for guardrail repair, between mile post 12.5 and 12.6, on Wednesday, June 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Kalaheo
A single lane closure on Halewili Road (Route 540) is possible in either direction for asphalt reconstruction and resurfacing, between mile post 0 and 1, in the vicinity of Kaumuali‘i Highway, on Monday, June 17, through Friday, June 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Kalihiwai
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for highway reconstruction, between Kahiliholo Road and Ka Haku Road, through Friday, June 21, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Koke‘e
A single lane closure on Waimea Canyon Drive (Route 550) is possible in either direction for road widening and paving, between mile post 11.5 and 14, through Friday, June 21, from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
Koloa
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for guardrail clearing and grass cutting, between mile post 4.73 and 5.80, on Monday, June 17, through Friday, June 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Lawai
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for guardrail repair, between mile post 13 and 14.4, on Thursday, June 20, through Friday, June 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Lihu‘e
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for grass cutting and guardrail clearing, in the vicinity of Ho‘omana Road and Kipu Road, on Monday, June 17, through Friday, June 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
A right lane closure on Rice Street (Route 51) is possible in the northbound direction for slope stabilization, in the vicinity of Royal Sonesta, on Monday, June 17, through Friday, June 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in the northbound direction for the bridge crew to repair the catch basin, in the vicinity of Kali Road and Hardy Street, on Monday, June 17, through Friday, June 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for striping and sign installations, in the vicinity of Kuene Road and Kapule Highway, on Monday, June 17, through Friday, June 21, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Moloa‘a
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for grass cutting, between mile post 21 and 25, in the vicinity of Waiakalua Street, on Monday, June 17, through Friday, June 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Princeville
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) is possible in either direction for installation of soil anchors at the bottom of Hanalei Hill, in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, on Monday, June 17, through Friday, June 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Alternating traffic will be allowed through the open lane.
Wailua
A right lane closure of Kapa‘a Bypass Road (Route 560) is possible in either direction for grass cutting, between mile post 0.8 to 1.75, in the vicinity of Kuhio Highway and Wailua Alternate, on Monday, June 17, through Friday, June 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Wapouli
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in the northbound direction for utility work, between mile post 7.28 and 7.38, in the vicinity of Kamoa Road and Kaua‘i Village Shopping Center, on Monday, June 17 through Tuesday morning, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for asphalt reconstruction and resurfacing, between mile post 8.11 and 9.78, in the vicinity of Akia Road and Mailihuna Road, through Friday, June 21, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
