Mahalo, Project Vision (they’re more than the hot shower mobile unit!) and Ho‘ola Lahui Hawai‘i for providing all those vision and hearing for the Boys &Girls Club! The Kapa‘a Lions Club was busy with the bus stop fronting the Kapa‘a Shopping Center or would’ve been at the Kapa‘a Clubhouse to lend a hand.

Was nice to see Charlie King and Mary Bea Porter King during the recent Hawai‘i Junior Golf Association qualifying tournaments at the Wailua Golf Course … yes, Mr. Rego was busy signing up those summer golf learners after all those contributions to the Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i.
Kudos to Dr. Janet Berreman, Lauren Guest and Col. (she still has her pin from Tropic Care 2014) Toni Torres on getting Tropic Care Kaua‘i (did Mayor Derek S.K. Kawakami get to see the dermatologist?) rolling on Thursday … the Waimea Canyon Middle School clinic’s final day is Saturday, and the Kilauea Elementary School clinic starts up from June 18. Clinic hours are first-come, first-served from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the Kaua‘i Bus is at no charge through June 20. No cost health care services are available for physical exams, dermatology, eye exams, eyeglasses fabrication, dental exams, including fillings and extractions.
OK, time to go check out the King’s Parade and Ho‘olaule‘a (starts at 9 a.m. at the historic County Building), and the Kukui Grove Father’s Day Celebration that starts from 10 a.m. (the shopping center is also hosting the K+M pop-up crafters).
