LIHU‘E — A number of road-related projects are on tap in the coming week with work stretching from the westside of the island to the northside, the Hawai‘i Department of Transportation said in an update on Friday.
The following is a list of projects scheduled for the workweek ending June 14. All work is weather permitting.
‘Ele‘ele
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for guardrail repair, between mile post 15.5 and 18.1, in the vicinity of Ulaula Road, on Monday, June 10, and Wednesday, June 12, through Friday, June 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Kalaheo
A single lane closure on Halewili Road (Route 540) is possible in either direction for asphalt reconstruction and resurfacing, between mile post 0 and 1, in the vicinity of Kaumuali‘i Highway, on Monday, June 10 through Friday, June 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Kalihiwai
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for highway reconstruction, between Kahiliholo Road and Ka Haku Road, on Monday, June 10, and Wednesday, June 12, through Friday, June 14, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Koke‘e
A single lane closure on Waimea Canyon Drive (Route 550) is possible in either direction for road widening and paving, between mile post 11.5 and 14, on Sunday, June 9 through Friday, June 14, from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
Koloa
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for grass cutting and guardrail clearing, between mile post 4.74 and 6.6, in the vicinity of Maluhia Road, on Monday, June 10, and Wednesday, June 12, through Friday, June 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Lihu‘e
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for grass cutting and guardrail clearing, in the vicinity of Rice Street and Pu‘uana Road, on Monday, June 10, and Wednesday, June 12, through Friday, June 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in the northbound direction for slope stabilization, in the vicinity of Royal Sonesta, on Monday, June 10, through Friday, June 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for striping and sign installation, in the vicinity of Kuene Street and Kapule Highway, on Monday, June 10, through Friday, June 14, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.,
Mana
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for shoulder grading, in the vicinity of Lighthouse Road and Ka‘o Road, on Monday, June 10, and Wednesday, June 12, through Friday, June 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Moloa‘a
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for grass cutting, between mile post 21 and 23.88, in the vicinity of Waiakalua Street and Kalihiwai Road, on Monday, June 10, and Wednesday, June 12, through Friday, June 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Princeville
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) between Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road is possible for installation of soil anchors at the bottom or Hanalei Hill, on Monday, June 10, through Friday, June 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Alternating traffic will be allowed through the open lane.
Wailua
A full closure of Kapa‘a Bypass Road (Route 560) is possible for bridge inspection, between mile post 0.77 to 3.07, in the vicinity of Kuhio Highway and Olohena Road on Thursday, June 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
A right lane closure of Kapa‘a Bypass Road (Route 5600) is possible in either direction for grass cutting, between mile post 1.28 to 1.81, on Monday, June 10, and Wednesday, June 12, through Friday, June 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Wapouli
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for asphalt reconstruction and resurfacing, between mile post 8.11 and 9.78, in the vicinity of Akia Road and Mailihuna Road, on Tuesday, June 11 through Friday, June 14, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
