Dorothy Marie Texeira Moura
Dorothy Marie Texeira Moura, of Kalaheo, passed away on May 21, 2024, at the age of 91. She was born on May 17, 1933, on Kaua‘i. She was manager of Duarte’s Liquor Store.
She was preceded in death by husband Albert Moura, parents Joseph and Elsie Texeira, brothers David (Dorothy) Texeira, Sonny (Millie) Texeira, and Billy (Ida) Texeira, and sisters Gussie (Bill) Souza, Beatrice Lang, Frances (Joe) Getler, and Majorie (Jack) Bullock.
She is survived by daughters Marlene (Larry) Moises, Tanya (James) Brown, and Audrey (Wayne) Bonilla, five grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kalaheo. Visitation begins at 9 a.m., Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., and burial will follow at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.

Leonida Defuntorum Leones
Leonida Defuntorum Leones, 80, of Lihu‘e, passed away on April 19, 2024. She was born Aug. 24, 1943, in Manguzmana, Binalonan, Pangasinan, Philippines, and worked at Host Marriott Restaurant for 23 years.
Preceded in death by her parents Eduardo and Esmerenciana Defuntorum, siblings Romualdo Defuntorum, Mateo Defuntorum, Eusequio Defuntorum, Felomino Defuntorum, Teresita D. Francisco and Hilaria D. Juliano.
She is survived by step children, numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Immaculate Conception church with viewing from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.

Floyd ‘Floyd Boy/Fred’ Libre
Floyd “Floyd Boy/Fred” Libre, of Hanapepe, passed away on May 7, 2024, in Hanapepe at the age of 40. He was born on Oct. 30, 1984, in Waimea. He was a Mechanic/Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
Floyd is survived by his parents Floyd Libre, Sr. and Peggy Libre of Hanapepe, sisters Tiffany Libre of Hanapepe, Krystal Libre of Hanapepe, Brittany Libre (Mark Braun) of Hanapepe, hanai brother Ola of Hanapepe, nieces and nephews Kayden, Ky-Mani, Zennen, Ki-Lyn, Lanakila, Makani, numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Garden Island Mortuary in Lawa‘i. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. with a celebration of life at 11 a.m. The family requests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Peter Randall Riopta
Peter Randall Riopta, of Hanama‘ulu, went home to heaven on May 7, 2024, at the age of 66. He was born on Jan. 11, 1958, on Oma‘o Bridge, Kaua‘i.
He was preceded in passing by father Pedro Redor Riopta, mother Juliet Ellasos Riopta, grandfather Silverio Ellasos, grandmother Suzie Salvacion, and granddaughter Alazne Amorin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Esther Jimenez Riopta, daughters Brooke (Travis) Aguinaldo, Amber (Emerson) Amorin, Casie Riopta, son Donovan Riopta, grandchildren Cainan Aguinaldo, Aryana Amorin, Alexia Amorin, Wana’ao Naihe, Ethan Amorin, Cailer Aguinaldo, Caitlyn Aguinaldo, numerous aunties, uncles, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, nephew, uncle, friend, and coach to many. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held on June 21, 2024, at Kaua‘i Veterans Center. Viewing at 8:30 a.m. Service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens.

Rev. Dr. Harold ‘Doc’ Itsuo Ayabe
Rev. Dr. Harold “Doc” Itsuo Ayabe, 89, of Kaneohe, former pastor of Windward Missionary Church and retired Department Chair and Professor Emeritus of Educational Psychology at the University of Hawai‘i Manoa, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 14, 2024. Doc was born on Dec. 29, 1934, in Lawa‘i, Kaua‘i, Hawai‘i.
He is survived by daughter Rev. Dr. Sharon Ayabe, brother Tadashi Jerry, sister Kikumi Kay Harada, sisters-in-law Edna Holdeman, Gloria Young, Thelma Chikuma, Lillian Nishihara, hanai granddaughter Dr. Corrie Yoshimura Fang, numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the love of his life, Ann Satoko (Nishihara) Ayabe, daughter Dr. Cheryl Emiko Milanio, parents Shohachi and Kikuo (Nagano) Ayabe, older brothers Katsumi, Keiso Henry, Noboru and older sister Hitoe Hirano.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at Kalihi Union Church Main Sanctuary, 2214 N. King Street, Honolulu, Hawai‘i, on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Visitation at noon. Services at 1 p.m.

Michael Manzano Abigania, of Mission Viejo, California, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 17, 2024. He was born in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, on June 8, 1952.
Michael is survived by his wife, Arminda Pascual Abigania; daughters, Sherry (Franklin Jr.) Matthews, Michelle (Victor) Abigania-Libunao, Melany (Eric) Abigania-Chun; grandchildren, Makana, Kainani Libunao, Malia, Micah, Jacob, Jade Matthews; brothers, Louis (Edith) Abigania, Robert (Doris) Abigania, Richard (Tess) Abigania, Glenn (Sharon) Abigania, Reynold Abigania; sisters, Nancy Abigania, Vicky Abigania, Christine (Bernard Sr.) Mabini, Alice (Reggie) Hunt, and Brenda (Ho-Tai) Zerba.
