Dillon Ancheta missed out on the andagi (mahalo Puakea golfers for the “we pau, already” treat on Wednesday) from Puakea Grill. Dillon was the Hawai‘i News Now reporter featuring the Kaua‘i High School senior class during a live stream broadcast on Friday morning featuring senior classes from around the state.

Kudos to the Zonta Club of Kaua‘i on presenting the five scholarships during the dinner reception at the Puakea Grill (mahalo, Chef Kristen for the “meet the chef by the kitchen door” treat that went well with watching the sumo results).
Marlene Duarte of Grove Farm Market said the Young Lawyers will be at Saturday’s Grove Farm Market from 9:30 a.m. where the lawyers will be available to answer legal questions from shoppers … they were pretty busy when they came out, last year.
Over at the Kaua‘i Society of Artists gallery at Kukui Grove Center, Carol Yotsuda and Shannon Hiramoto (is she going to be involved with the Mu‘umu‘u Fashion Runway at the upcoming King’s Celebration ho‘olaule‘a on June 15?) will be hosting the Boroboro Boutique Sew-a-Thon this weekend as a fundraiser for “Ka Pae ‘Aina O Hawai‘i Nei” Hawaiian Archipelago Mosaic program that has Kat Ho (she’ll probably be at the Sew-a-Thon, too).
And, a reminder that the Kaua‘i Veterans Council will host the Memorial Day services on Monday (it’s a holiday for many people!) starting at 10 a.m. at the Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe (good tradition to stop for lunch at MCS Grill after the services since there’s no food allowed at the cemetery).
