LIHU‘E — After April’s flooding event, the County of Kaua’i closed numerous ponds and beaches due to safety concerns. Now, after almost a month, Morgan’s Ponds are open.
The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) along with the Department of Health Clean Water Branch’s Brown Water Advisory announced that a brown water advisory has been canceled for Wailua Bay, Lydgate and Morgan’s Ponds at Lydgate Beach Park
Friends of Kamalani stepped up to clean Lydgate Park after its closure on April 12, following the April flood event.
