LIHU‘E — The Walmart store in Lihu‘e will join the eight other Hawai‘i Walmart stores in hosting the Walmart Wellness Day on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Hawai‘i residents are invited to check in on their health during the Wellness Day where free glucose, cholesterol, BMI and blood pressure screenings, and affordable immunizations are available. Immunizations include COVID-19, flu, RSV, tetanus, hepatitis, HPV and more.
Nearly 4,600 Walmart pharmacies across the country will host Walmart Wellness Day events, where families can check in on their health.
Customers can find a broad assortment of product offerings ranging from allergy relief options to vitamins. Wellness Day also provides the opportunity to talk with pharmacists.
“Our pharmacies are pillars in the communities they serve,” said Kevin Host, Walmart’s Senior Vice President of Pharmacy.
“Wellness Day creates wonderful opportunities to deepen those connections while also offering impactful services such as free screenings and affordable immunizations. We will continue to build and execute through our pharmacies and Vision Centers to ensure we are doing what we can to help people save money, live better, and live healthier this summer.”
Walmart pharmacies have hosted Walmart Wellness Days since 2014, contributing more than 5 million free health screenings to customers. More than 4,000 Walmart stores are in medical professional shortage areas, meaning Walmart is often the first stop for health care in those communities.
