LIHU‘E — Registration for the Kaua‘i Malama Military Food Distribution opened on Monday. To register visit https://hawaiifoodbank.org/kauai/.
The Hawai‘i Army National Guard, in partnership with the Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i, is providing a free food distribution for any of the island’s military ‘ohana, including a military service member, veterans or military dependent.
The distribution will take place on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at the Kaua‘i Community College parking area fronting the Performing Arts Center and will include different kinds of food, such as fresh produce and “friendly faces.” Walk-ins are also welcome for those military ‘ohana who did not make the online registration.
The Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i said it is grateful for the many sponsors of this event, including the Pacific Missile Range Facility, Somers West, the Kekaha Agriculture Association, Aloun Farms, Pepsi, Domino’s and Meridian Pacific.
The Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i said it was especially grateful to Senate President Ron Kouchi ,who brought the people together to help make a difference in the Kaua‘i community.
