How did coach Dean Nonaka (coach Kell is on O‘ahu with the Island School boys volleyball team at the state competition!) know that he needed the Teru Teru Bozo at the Grove Farm Market on Saturday?

The Teru Teru Bozo is supposed to help bring nice weather … it must’ve worked because there was less rain at the Downtown Lihu‘e Night Market where Wai the Goddess and Alika Roots (they didn’t get any Wai at the Kukui Grove Mother’s Day Kaua‘i Made pop-up because the food court is under roof) wrapped up a busy day … Lexi Jones even saw the rainbow in the waning minutes of daylight.
All that rain did not stop the LittleBabes fundraiser for their indoor playground for keiki (Melissa McFerrin Warrack said it’s supposed to open June 1, if not sooner, at the shop space next to Kaua‘i Ocean Discovery where the humpback whale came to visit).
Those LittleBabes even had mama Teresa Nero (she’s featuring young artist Hi‘ilei Berg at her new shop at the Anchor Cove Shopping Center that opened on May Day) setting up along with other vendors … Hi‘ilei’s mom Devi (Kawaikini New Century Public Charter School is hosting graduation for its five seniors during school!) was helping shoosh the rain at the flying saucers tent that was across the parked fire truck … was that hekka at the Kaho‘olawe princess’s Pa‘u Unit — Lyah Kama Drake said The King’s Celebration is coming on June 15 — fundraiser?
According to the National Weather Service, we have a break from all that ‘ua (just in time for the Pau Hana Market on Monday at Kukui Grove!) until another weather system comes in later this week … enjoy!
