Melissa McFerrin Warrack said her son Finnegan had an aha moment while talking about what is going to happen in the future. And Melissa said Rocky Pascua of Ainofea is a real Mother’s Day story, as Rocky hosted the second grade class from Kalaheo School on Friday during the class’s field trip to Kukui Grove Center where another mother, Sloleil Tuku was busy setting up Henua Designs (Diamonds from the Sea?) for the weekend pop-up with all those Kaua‘i Made vendors.

Kudos to Jean Souza for coordinating the Kalaheo School field trip … congratulations Bev Brody on the blessing of the new play structure (Pete Morrow of Pacific Playscapes had organic honey from Kahalu‘u for people to try) on Thursday.
Kudos to Victoria Mathis, of the Kaua‘i Community College Medical Assistant Program, on her latest crop of 13 graduates, which includes Rizel Joy Edmalin, who took the course while on Maui, and Rebecca Harsley, who had a beautiful a capella rendering of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” during the pinning ceremony on Wednesday night.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms on Kaua‘i!
