LIHU‘E — The Department of Public Works (DPW) will be holding a public meeting next week to discuss a new project that will enhance Kaneka Street.
LIHU‘E — The Department of Public Works (DPW) will be holding a public meeting next week to discuss a new project that will enhance Kaneka Street.
The meeting will be held at the Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School cafeteria on May 16 and will cover Kaneka Street’s existing configuration and current safety concerns, along with plans to add sidewalks and bike lanes.
The Engineering Division staff will be present to address the community’s questions and receive public input on the reconfiguration of Kaneka Street from a four-lane roadway to a three-lane roadway consisting of two through lanes and a center turn lane.
The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will run until 7 p.m. All community members are encouraged to attend.
