KAPA‘A — The Kaua‘i Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) announced that spaces are available for the free monthly spay and neuter services or Kaua‘i residents’ dogs and cats.
The next clinic is on Sunday at the Kapa‘a Animal Clinic site and the Kaua‘i SPCA said there is room for reservations for 20 dogs.
“The Kapa‘a Animal Clinic is so generous to donate their clinic on the day they are closed,” said Launa Bacon of the Kaua‘i SPCA.
According to the Kaua‘i SPCA website kauaispca.org, signing up is a two-step process. Once the registration form is filled out, the applicant will receive a link to validate a cellphone number and email. Once validated, the applicant will receive a QR code which serves as registration confirmation.
The Kaua‘i SPCA next cat clinic is on May 16-17 at Anahola Marketplace. The clinic can accommodate at least 50 additional reservations on each day.
During the clinic, sterilization surgery, vaccinations, microchipping and flea treatments are available for free. Cats will receive a required eartip.
