MANA — With the next Garden Isle Racing Association drag races looming on May 4 at the Kaua‘i Raceway Park in Mana, the GIRA released the results of its April 6 event that featured the High School Challenge at the Mana drag strip.
Danika Braun took that event over Po‘okela Silva with a run down the quarter mile that stopped the clocks at 14.75 seconds and reaching 95.05 mph. Braun was also a semifinalist in the Top Gun class that was won by Calvin Costa whose 1968 Chevy Camaro flew down the quarter in 8.07 seconds and reached speeds of 166.74 mph.
During the night race on May 4, GIRA will feature the special 4×4 Truck Shootout.
