Child & Family Service is working to break generational poverty in Hawai‘i by sharing the results of a pilot program called “Transition to Success” that dramatically improved the lives of participants in Kaua‘i and Maui by empowering them to make a map of dreams that sets their own priorities. Pictured is Amanda Pump, President & CEO, Child & Family Services introducing Marcella Wilson, Founder & CEO, Transition to Success, who spoke via teleconference to the group at the Prince Waikiki on Monday, April 29, 2024.

Child &Family Service put out a call to action to other nonprofits on Monday to join it in the battle to fight the harmful effects of poverty in Hawai‘i, where an estimated 15 percent of families are living below federal poverty guidelines.
