LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i County Housing Agency will begin its process to develop a Kaua‘i County Homelessness Strategic Plan.
The county is asking the public to assist in the Kaua‘i Community survey with a goal to focus on a five-year Homelessness Strategic Plan.
The survey is completely anonymous and will be accessible until May 10, 2024.
The brief survey is focused on understanding perspectives on the experience, impacts, and solutions of homelessness on Kaua‘i, with the first phase involving the engagement of the community, homeless services provided, and first accounts of residents who are currently houseless through surveys, focus groups, interviews and listening sessions.
People interested in further information on the Kaua‘i County Community Survey on Homelessness can visit, https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KauaiCommunity.
The information that will be gathered from this initial planning stage will inform the developments and draft strategic plans that will be shared with the community for additional feedback later in the summer.
