Kelvin Moniz of the KIFB said they also received a donation from Koa Lani (they operate the ambulance and fire trucks at Pacific Missile Range Facility) on Monday, the first donation from the PMRF since the COVID-19 pandemic.
If you’ve got time before noon, the Kaua‘i District Health Office is hosting an open house in observance of National Public Health Week where Bev Brody of Get Fit Kausa‘i will lead the active lifestyle portion to get the blood moving.
And, don’t forget Saturday is the craft fair addition to the weekly Grove Farm Market … Carol Yotsuda and the Boroboro Boutique is scheduled to be there along with more than 40 other craft vendors … they got food, too because Xo, Mama is scheduled to be there.
Grove Farm is sponsoring the Department of Water, which will be distributing free hose nozzles while supplies last.
The All Saints Episcopal Church and Preschool invite people to an all-Bach concert on Saturday at 6 p.m. featuring organist Jonathan Dimmock performing on the church’s Rosales pipe organ.
Dimmock, who has recorded more than 50 CDs, including a Grammy Award-winning CD of Mahler Symphony 8 with the San Fransisco Symphony, came to Kaua‘i to play the Rosales organ, said Morris Wise.
And let’s not forget the Royal Sonesta folks contributed almost 4000 POUNDS of food and I the Kauai Independent Food Bank which helps feed our hungry on kauai. Mahalo Royal Sonesta.
