The Grow Aloha plant giveaway on Kaua‘i (they also do giveaways on Maui) takes place from 9 a.m. to noon on April 20 at the NTBG South Shore Visitor Center,and at the Limahuli Gardens in Ha‘ena.
But The Wonton Shack was out at the Aloha Market (kudos on celebrating the market’s third anniversary in April!) at the NTBG South Shore Visitor Center where Jessica Clabo of Rainbow Wave Art is getting excited about going to Las Vegas for a reunion that coincides with a glass convention.
Congratulations to Shane Corregedore, Myrvie Buster, Board Chairman Owen Ota and the Garden Island Federal Credit Union ‘ohana that celebrated the grand opening of its Kapa‘a Branch on Friday in the Kapa‘a Shopping Center where Diamond’s Pizza is having a good pan pizza and soda special.
Francis and Geraldine Baniaga of Mom’s Filipino Comfort Food had their little pink food trailer out to prepare food for the first 100 people at the opening … Francis said the pink food trailer won’t be at the Pau Hana Market for at least a few more weeks.
Dr. Mike Oride (he’s retired, but still working) and Gail said Pat Iwasaki’s grandson is graduating in May and has plans to join Dr. Janie Yoo and the Kaua‘i Eye Institute ‘ohana in providing eye care.
