Bank of Hawai‘i ‘Branch of Tomorrow’ opens in ‘Ele‘ele

‘ELE‘ELE — Despite the interrupted entry to the ‘Ele‘ele Shopping Center on Monday, the Bank of Hawai‘i opened the BOH ‘Ele‘ele branch with its signature “Branch of Tomorrow” capabilities.

“That is why we are thrilled to share our Branch of Tomorrow technology with ‘Ele‘ele where Bank of Hawai‘i has proudly served the community for 80 years.”

The BOH ‘Ele‘ele branch is open five days a week, Mondays through Fridays with extended hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to better serve customers in the ‘Ele‘ele Shopping Center that is located at 4469 Waialo Road. The nearby Hanapepe branch is now closed.

The ‘Ele‘ele branch features safe deposit boxes, digital services, such as a technology-focused Teller Bar, private Pili consultation rooms for in-person, or virtual consultations, easy 24/7 ATM banking and new extended hours.

The ‘Ele‘ele branch is the first of five neighbor island branches to be upgraded to the Branch of Tomorrow capabilities over the next two years. Plans call for branches in Hana, Maui, Ka‘u on the Big Island, Kaunakakai on Moloka‘i and Lana‘i to be converted because Bank of Hawai‘i has been rooted in these close-knit areas for many decades, and is committed to delivering modern banking experiences with personal customer service.

The architect for the new ‘Ele‘ele branch is Peter Vincent Architects. Shioi Construction was the contractor.
