LIHU‘E — A wide range of road-related projects are on tap with work stretching from Hanapepe to Princeville, the Hawai‘i Department of Transportation said in a update on Friday.
The following is a list or projects scheduled for the workweek ending March 1. All work is weather permitting.
Anahola
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for grass cutting, between mile post 14 to 17, on Monday, Feb. 26, through Friday, March. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
‘Ele‘ele
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in the westbound direction for sewer line crossing between Halewili Road and Hanapepe Road, on Monday, Feb. 26, through Friday, March. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Hanapepe
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for shoulder grading between mile post 17 and 20, in the vicinity of Lele Road, on Monday, Feb. 26, through Friday, March. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Kalaheo
A single lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for storm drain installation and paving, between mile post 10.7 and 11, in the vicinity of Kuli Road and Lauoho Road, through Friday, March. 1, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for grass cutting and guardrail clearing between mile post 12 and 15, in the vicinity of Halewili Road and Laulae Street, on Monday, Feb. 26, through Friday, March. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Kapaia
A single lane closure on Ma‘alo Road (Route 583) is possible between mile post 0 and .92 for cutting of grass and low handing branches, in the vicinity of Kuhio Highway, on Monday, Feb. 26, through Friday, March 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Kealia
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for shoulder grading between mile post 17 and 20, in the vicinity of Lele Road, on Monday, Feb. 26, through Friday, March. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Kilauea
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for tree trimming, between Ko‘olau Road and Princeville Airport, on Monday, Feb. 26, through Friday, March. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Lihu‘e
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for grass cutting and clearing of drains, between Ehiku Street and Laulima Street, beginning Monday, Feb. 26, through Friday, March. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for cold planing and paving between mile post 0.7 and 2.5, in the vicinity of Kuene Road and Kapule Highway, beginning Monday, Feb. 26, through Friday, March. 1, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Princeville
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) is possible in either direction for debris removal and hauling of slope material between Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, from Monday, Feb. 26 through Friday, March. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Traffic will be alternated through the open lane.
Wailua
A single lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) is possible in the vicinity of the Opaeka‘a Falls lookout, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, until further notice for slope stabilization.
