Where is Nanakuli playing?
Where is Nanakuli playing?
Ryan Girard (thank you for the confirmation of History Day on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at the Kaua‘i Community College library) said he saw the Nanakuli-shirted supporter stocking up on provisions at Costco so assumed the team was playing on island. Ryan is going to be a judge for the History Day and a participant with the Kaua‘i Community College (KCC) “Find Your Future” event that welcomed nearly 200 students interested in KCC being a destination for postsecondary education.
Kapa‘a High School baseball coach Bryan Aiwohi said the Warriors are hosting Kapolei High School in a preseason baseball game at the Ron Martin field with the first pitch going at 10 a.m. The nightcap of the double-header will have Kaua‘i High School playing Kapolei about 30 minutes following the Kapa‘a game.
Kudos to Kaua‘i Community College Interim Chancellor Margaret Sanchez and Interim Vice Chair of Student Affairs Thomas No‘eau Keopuhiwa on spearheading the latest “Find Your Career” event for about 200 students from nine different schools … how many of the Hawaiian immersion schools know about Ke Ahu a Hokulei cultural site on the Kaua‘i Community College campus? And kudos to Anuhea Piliere and Rhonda Liu for being so knowledgeable about the Transfer Program that allows students who start at KCC to continue work toward a high degree through the University of Hawai‘i West O‘ahu campus (Anuhea said they fly people in every graduation to present the higher degrees).
OK, on to the Waimea Town Celebtration ho‘olaule‘a!
